AB0206 STUDY ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SERUM COMPLEMENT C5 IN PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Background Recent studies have pointed out that complement system activation is a major alteration in early atherosclerotic plaques, and C5 has promising value as novel circulating biomarker of atherosclerosis, but the relationship between carotid (CAS) plaque rheumatoid arthritis (RA) still unclear. Objectives To investigate clinical significance serum association with CAS patients RA． Methods 143 RA were included study, 46 cases age- sex- matched healthy physical examination without or served normal control. In group, positively correlated plaque, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) fibrinogen (FIB) (r=0.204, =0.017; r=0.225, =0.009; r=0.186, =0.029;). addition, there no significant correlation sex, age, BMI, course disease, DAS28, lipid profile (TG, triglyceride; TC, total cholesterol; LDLC, low density lipoprotein HDLC, high TC/HDLC; LDLC/HDLC), immune markers (RF, factor; anti-CCP, anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies), cytokine (IL-6, Interleukin-6; TNF-α, Tumor necrosis factor-α), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) (all >0.05), drug therapy >0.05).
